“Kaiseki at Kaimana” // Summit 1.2, Profile

As part of Summit’s business model, our team partnered with businesses to help share stories that would not only enrich the content of the magazine, but promote quality Hawaiʻi brands. In short, marked advertorials, we would profile a new initiative, a flagship brand, or—as in this case—the restaurant Miyako, one of the main attractions within the New Otani Kaiseki at Kaimana Hotel, located under the slopes of Kaimana (Diamond Head).

New Otani paid for the spread, while writer (and copy editor) Karen Shishido and I, along with Summit’s associate publisher Michelle Garcia, stopped in at Miyako to get the full experience.

Photographed: August, 2015

Location: Miyako at New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, Waikīkī, Oʻahu
